As much as would like to see you in person, all sessions are currently being held online.
I hope you found the consultation useful. If you booked already with me then please read through the below to get the most out of our sessions together. If you have not decided just yet, have a read and let me know if you have any further questions you may have to help you decide.
What to do next if you have booked or are booking a session.
- Pay your session fee which is £75 and a deposit of £75 as this will confirm you are going ahead. If you have booked more than one session, please pay in advance for that too.
- Payment is made via bank transfer, I will send you the details in your post-consultation information email.
- Please use the session fees payment page if you need to pay via credit card or are located abroad
- Book dates ahead for session slots you want. It is very busy I would advise booking some slots ahead which can be amended if not needed.
- Your Zoom link will be sent just before the session begins, I will then wait for you to join the session.
- If you have a phone session booked. I will call you.
Tips to get the most out of your session.
Have water to hand and tissues too.
Zoom is the most stable online platform to meet.
Wear earphones to prevent feedback. ( I can hear myself coming through some speakers.)
Please have a pen and some paper handy for some strategies and to make notes.
I would avoid being too caffeinated for a session as this can make it difficult to do some mental exercises.
Water and tissues are advisable too.
Have the best wifi signal possible. We will work around whatever tech issues happen.
You will be asked to make a £75 deposit with your first session. When you arrive for your session you will be asked to pay so we get that out of the way and on with the work.
This needs to be paid in advance. The rolling deposit is only paid once and rolls from session to session (unless lost) and commits you to a session you have booked with me. Deposits are only at risk if you fail to show up for a session or cancel without at least 48 hours notice. If you cancel within 48 hours and someone on the waiting list takes your appointment no deposit is lost. I will do my best to offer your appointment to someone else, so please give me as much notice as possible. If all is well and sessions booked attended your deposit is returned to you or used as part payment for your last session.
Genuine Illness results in sessions being moved and no deposit is lost as long as you rearrange before the session is due.
How to Pay
When we book a session together, please pay for this session to confirm you want to take that session slot. For your first session, you will need to pay your deposit and session fees for any slots we have booked.
Bank Transfer details are available on request and are in your post-consultation information email. Please add your name as a reference to ensure I know who has made the payment.
If you need to pay via credit card or are unable to do bank transfer due to being abroad, please use the fees page link below and this can be paid via Paypal.
Paypal direct using paypal.me/thelifedoctor or my email email@example.com
When an appointment is created for you, you will shortly receive a text and email confirmation of your appointment. Please contact me if you receive a date and time different to the one we arranged or if you do need to rearrange the date and time. You will also receive a text reminder three days before your actual appointment too as I appreciate how being busy can lead to forgetting your appointment.
Your notes are not shared with anyone. In the rare event, I need help with your case from another therapist your personal details are not shared.
Another concern is seeing members of your family or partners. There is no cross over and again your session is confidential.
I am not a Physician and cannot advise you medically. I will though if I suspect you need extra help in combination with your therapy advise you to speak to your GP.

What’s different about my therapy approach?
My approach is a much more direct, proactive and strategic approach than just talking therapy alone. It’s a holistic approach as it focuses on treating the root causes and not just the symptoms. Most of my clients have often gone through various counselling services and have found themselves unable to move forward the way they need to, hence the need for something different.
I will be providing not only the help and support you need but more importantly the tools and strategies to help yourself change your mind and change your life. You are only a few brain patterns away from change! Not many therapists have a podcast that clients can tap into to continue their progress. It’s not a replacement for 121 therapy but it really can help move you quickly in the right direction.
I have combined a unique mix of therapies, strategies, psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness and lifestyle information to create a powerful way to deal with the most common issues people are asking for help with. My speciality is anxiety-based disorders which include panic attacks, social anxiety, phobias, stress, anger issues and depression. I also trained and worked in sexual health counselling and outreach work which is ideal for helping clients with any issues in that area.
It’s Not Long Term
This is not a long term therapy process for most clients, the first few sessions may be weekly and from your feedback, we will space the sessions further apart as necessary for you to progress even further. There is no one size fits all approach and your sessions will be tailored to fit how you process and respond to them. Some tools have a quick and profound effect on people’s minds and yet those same tools for someone else have a lower impact or don’t do anything at all. That’s part of the challenge, finding how you work from your feedback and then applying what is likely to work for you.
It’s vital you feel able to give any honest feedback you have about the sessions and your progress. Self-sabotage can be a factor with therapy as the brain can seek ways to go back to old patterns of behaviour for a variety of reasons. Therapy can feel difficult at times and have ups and downs as your mind adjusts to your new ways of thinking and behaving. It will really help me help you to know what is working for you, what isn’t and any doubts you have, also I love to know how well you are doing, noting those little victories can be wonderful for the mind.
Podcasts and Session Content Information
You will also be sent links to podcasts and to information from sessions that will continue to help your progress. No note-taking is needed as you will be provided with everything you need to help yourself. My values are quite simple for this as I know from personal experience how debilitating issues can be in holding back and ruining your quality of life. My world became very small in places due to suffering with anxiety which just held me back. I want to help you as quickly and as thoroughly as possible so you can live your life as you choose to, not as you are being made to.
